Director of Sales

We’re seeking a Director of Sales to join our team. Your primary responsibilities are to optimize and manage our inside sales team. You will own budget, strategy, and cross-functional relationships for the sales team and report directly to our CEO. Prior roles as a Director of Sales with budget management experience is required for this role.
What you’ll be doing:
Evolve and enhance our sales playbook to improve our sales conversion rates
Ensure positioning and tone of voice is consistent and humanized when interacting with prospects
Manage, hire, train and ramp a team of inside sales executives (our home advisor team)
Execute our go-to market strategy and execution
Achieve annual quota with monthly and quarterly targets
Develop and manage sales executives on productivity metrics such as deal size, win rate, and forecast accuracy as well as how to lead a customer through a proactive sales cycle
Coach sales executives through building relationships with customers and through complex deals and negotiations
Ensure a smooth hand off between the inside sales team and the customer experience team
Coach direct reports re: strategies to drive closure
Support direct reports by participating and leading in customer and prospect meetings
Work collaboratively with Marketing, Product and Customer Experience to build targeted messaging and collateral, and mapping a customer journey for the specific business needs
Work with our Land team to develop a strategy to match customers with Properties
What you’ll need:
Extremely good technical skills - we are a tech startup and everything is done online
Prior experience managing a high performing inside sales team
A clear understanding of the residential real estate sales process
Excellent budgeting, reporting & presentation skills
Proficiency in coordinating between teams to achieve results no matter what.
Experienced in setting quotas and managing people against those quotas
Passionate about coaching others with a successful track record as an individual contributor and can share relevant and complex closing experience with a growing team
