Why this model? Why now? A lot of what we do here at Welcome Homes is informed by our customers’ wants and needs. Over the last few months we’ve received feedback indicating that people are looking for larger homes built on a larger piece of land—so we got to work.
In the Oasis 5 you’ll recognize a lot of the features that weave their way through our Oasisfamily of homes, but incorporated into a larger space. Oasis 5 starts at $880,000 and has the same great, open concept living space on the main floor, with dining, living, and kitchen areas positioned at the rear of the home and complemented by our trademark multi-slide doors opening to a sizable deck.
One of the new features I’m super excited about is the hidden pantry in the kitchen. Camouflaged as a cabinet door, it’s a highly functional space that’s tucked away within the floor plan. It has a second dishwasher, sink, faucet, and refrigerator that make it a dream for anyone who loves to cook and entertain. (Another plus: If you opt for the outdoor kitchen, the pantry’s window is the same height as the outdoor counter, making serving seriously easy!)
Oasis 5 kitchen, dining area, and living room. One of the top things we heard from customers was that they wanted a primary suite on the main floor. What makes this home really special is the inclusion of two primary suites: one on the ground floor and one on the second. Each comes complete with walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms. This layout gives you the option to choose where you want your bedroom to be, and also offers a private space for guests, parents, or whoever you care to host.
The first floor is rounded out with a study, mudroom, powder room, laundry room (complete with laundry chute from upstairs), storage and utility spaces, and a two-car garage. For the first time ever, the garage can be oriented in two ways, providing a level of flexibility that means the Oasis 5 can sit on more types of land, with more orientations.
On the second floor you’ll find another study nook, the second bedroom suite, two additional oversized bedrooms with walk-in closets and a full shared bathroom, and a palatial recreation lounge with endless uses: You can use it as a dedicated hangout area, studio space, playroom, or even add a door to convert it to a fifth bedroom with direct access to the covered, second-story terrace. (Oh, and let’s not forget the laundry chute that means your clothes always end up in the laundry room hamper below.)
